Girls Rock The North 


The Community Arts Mentorship Program, sponsored and funded by the Downie Wenjack Fund, SMVS, Saskatchewan Arts board and Lac La Ronge Indian Band, presents the La Ronge Girls Rock The North at SMVS. This program takes place on Treaty 6 Territory.
 

All participants must complete and submit a registration form in advance. Forms are available online and at SMVS.

This program provides a space for youth to explore music, creativity, and collaboration in a supportive and inspiring environment.

GIRLS ROCK THE NORTH

In partnership with Girls Rock Saskatoon, 11 instructors, 4 Elders, 6 mentees and 25 participants Rock The Mission: Girls Rock Camp was born in February 2020 in Stanley Mission, Sk. 

 

In consultation with local Woodland Cree women and Elders, the camp is designed to strengthen cultural identity and positive relationships within female & female identifying community members. 

 

The 5th Annual Girls Rock The North - Stanley Mission will be happening February 2025.
