URABN ARTS TRAINING PROGRAM

NOW HIRING!

The Urban Arts Training Program is part of the Community Arts Mentorship Program (CAMP) and is designed to provide emerging music educators with hands-on experience in community-based instruction.

During this six-week mentorship, the selected mentee will work alongside lead facilitator LJ Tyson Kimbley at Westview Community School, gaining experience in:

 

  • Music instruction in a classroom setting

  • Building and leading community arts programs

  • Facilitating workshops and youth engagement

  • Creating inclusive and accessible learning environments

This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a background in music and a passion for teaching in underserved, remote, and vulnerable communities.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Background in music (playing, teaching, or performing)

  • Willingness to learn and teach in classroom settings

  • Experience working with youth is an asset

  • Criminal record and vulnerable sector check required
